(from liner notes) SOUNDATA This stereophonic recording session was made at Studio A at Universal Recording Studios, Chicago, with Bernie Clapper as engineer in charge. Microphones used on this session were: Bass - Altec 639.... Piano - RCA 77 DX.... Drums - Telefunken 211. All solo instruments were played from the center to give full width of sound to the recording. All solos were picked up by a Telefunken U47 and two Telefunken U47's were used for accent. 

Stereo LP has golden color labels. 

This LP was reissued in 1962 as [r10100116. The reissue has an alternate track order, and replaces track "Going' South" with track "Swinging For Benny" from the same recording session.
