Japanese guitar hero Takeshi Terauchi caught the wave of a huge interest in rock’n’roll in the country at the dawn of the Sixties, specifically defining the Eleki Bumu (electric boom) instrumental rock movement. ‘Eleki Bushi 1966-1974’ is a compilation focussing on an eight-year period where ‘Terry’ looked to traditional Japanese folk for inspiration, modernising and moulding established sounds with his distinctive playing style.
